We are committed to alleviating the plight of Persons With Disabilities. We equip them with skills needed for day to day living, because we care about quality of life. Welcome to FEEBLE CARE, a platform where the feeble are made strong.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I am Sophie Kaseregenyi, Ugandan female and lawyer by profession. I’m the founder Sophgenyi Feeble Care Initiative (FEEBLE CARE), a registered non-profit humanity based organisation that provides a platform to transform lives of the feeble and Persons With Disabilities like myself.

I hold a bachelor of laws degree (LL.B) from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda (1998) After LL.B I undertook the post graduate bar course at the law development centre where I would obtain a diploma in legal practice in 1999. This, I knew would definitely project me to my career goal. However, short of two months to graduation, I suffered an accident that was so debilitating, I couldn’t continue with my studies. My career was consequently cut short. I had sustained spine and head trauma, and it affected my overall balance, control and coordination of movement. Walking became a difficult task indeed. I had lost my fine motor skills. The Diagnosis was and still is Cerebellar ataxia.

Cerebellar ataxia is a disabling neurological disorder and i have lived with it for 22 years. See full story about my life experience. With my career hopes shattered, the future looked bleak. Even with the bachelor of laws degree that I had just obtained, my health was poor and the future, uncertain.

My personal experience of living with the disabling cerebellar ataxia for 22 years, inspired me to start an initiative to help people living with disabling trauma, just like myself, hence the birth of SOPHGENYI FEEBLE CARE INITIATIVE (FEEBLE CARE)
