OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

Quite often, and mostly due to a devastating accident or crippling illness, many individual people do leave or get wheeled out of hospitals to begin life as a “Person With Disability” (PWD) Sadly, though deemed “Recovered”, they are still dependant on others due to their frail or feeble state.

However, the fact still remains that even after such an accident, illness or other disabling trauma, life continues with the same or even more costly day to day human needs. Let us try to put ourselves in the shoes of a PWD. Just momentarily think of how they move, like especially on a rainy day, over muddy and bumpy roads. Think about how they access services from high rise buildings that sometimes have no ramps or even elevators. Unfortunately, most of them cannot fend for themselves and do not have a source of income. So, how do they survive?

As FEEBLE CARE, we highlight the fact that the majority of PWDs are ostracised from polite society. They mostly live unidentified, in remote villages, in conditions of abject poverty and in dire need of help. For a PWD, life is indeed very challenging. It is on this ground that FEEBLE CARE was founded with a VISION to provide a platform to transform the lives of PWDs within their communities.

Our MISSION is to provide enabling care to these physically challenged persons through our programs that include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, outreach services, spiritual and psychosocial support, community integration, sensitisation, networking with sister organisations, and to an extent, financial support. We aim for a holistic approach in order to achieve improved quality of life. OUR GOAL is to alleviate the plight of the feeble and physically challenged person. Together, let us strengthen the feeble. Hebrews 12:12 FEEBLE CARE, ‘’we care about quality of life’’
